  • 1/2 kg king fish cleaned and cut into small pieces.
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp Ginger crushed
  • 10 Shallots sliced
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek powder
  • 3 pieces cocum
  • 3 cups coconut milk
  • Curry Leaves
  • coconut oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat the pan, saute the ginger-garlic paste in the oil for half a minute.
  • Fry onion and green chilies and saute till the onions turn brown.
  • Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder and fenugreek powder and stir well.
  • Lower the flame and add the cocum and salt. Stir well and so pour within the coconut milk.
  • Add the fish and cover the pan, allow it (fish) to cook for twenty minutes.
  • Remove from the pan, garnish with some curry leaves. Served hot
