Veg Chowmein recipe is an Indo-chinese recipe. Chinese seasoning is combined with Indian cooking style. Veg Chowmein is one of the popular street food, which is mostly liked by youngsters;especially by kids. Chowmein is made in different ways due to its popularity. Here we are going to tell you the easy to make the recipe , which can be prepared within 30 minutes. It can be served at breakfast or brunch time or also as an evening snack.

  • 200 Gram Fresh noodles
  • 5 Cups Water
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 Cup Onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp Chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Green and red capsicum
  • 1 Cup Carrot, chopped.
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 Green chilie, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Spring onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt


  • Heat 4-5 cups of water in a pan. Add noodles , salt and olive or groundnut oil and bring it to boil.
  • Drain immediately and cool under running water and allow them (noodles) to cool.
  • Add 1 tbsp of oil into the noodles and leave in the bowl till required.
  • Now, heat some oil in a pan on medium flame.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and onions. Saute for 30-40 seconds till onions turn into golden brown color.
  • Add celery ,red and green capsicum along with carrot. Give it a nice stir.
  • Now add soy sauce, chili sauce and vinegar, salt and black pepper.
  • Now add the boil noodles to this and tossed it carefully.
  • Now switch off the flame. Place this Veg Chowmein in a bowl or a plate.
  • Garnish with ketchup and red capsicum and served hot.
