  • 1 1/2 Cup Basmati Rice
  • 1/2 tbsp - Jeera Or Cumin
  • 3 Cardamoms
  • For Gravy -
  • 5 Boil Eggs
  • Onions - 3/4th cup, sliced
  • Bay Leaf - 1
  • Cinnamon stick - 2 inch
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
  • Cloves - 6
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chili - 1
  • Biryani Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 3/4 cup
  • Mint leaves - 1
  • Salt as needed
  • Kewda Powder - 1 Tsp
  • To Fry Eggs -
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • Biryani Masala - 1 pinch


  • Firstly Boil all the eggs. Pierce them randomly with the forks. Set them aside.
  • Wash Basmati rice 2 times. Soak them for 25 minutes.
  • Take a hollow utensil. Boil rice with 4 to 5 of water along with cardamoms and cumin.
  • Don’t overcook the rice. Cook rice upto 90% and keep it aside.
  • Now heat oil in a pan. Add onions and fry till turn to golden brown colour. Keep them aside in a plate.
  • Now add all the spices, ginger garlic paste and chillies. Fry till the raw smell disappears.
  • Now add red chilli powder and garam masala. Saute for 1 minute.
  • Add yoghurt, mint leaves, coriander leaves. Add salt to taste.
  • Add 3 eggs and half fried onions.
  • Stir well and cook till the mixture thickens. Switch off the flame.
  • Add half rice to the pot, layer the eggs with some rice.
  • Now put back the vessel to the stove. Add all the remaining eggs and rice.
  • Sprinkle some fried onions and saffron colours.
  • Cover the pot with aluminium foil and place it on the low flame for 15 minutes.
  • Serve Hyderabadi Biryani with Raita And Curd
